How payments work on Rembuk
Rembuk (rembuk.my) is a management system for school parent-teacher associations and community associations in Malaysia. It is operated by Renoraz Ventures Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1632435-U). This page summarises how money moves on the platform.
Who our customers are
- Parent-teacher associations (PIBG / PTA) at Malaysian schools.
- NGOs and associations, such as welfare, religious, residents', alumni and sports associations.
Each organisation is run by its own committee (chairperson, secretary, treasurer). Their members and parents are the people who pay them.
Two kinds of payment
(a) Rembuk subscription
Paid by the organisation to Renoraz Ventures Sdn Bhd for using Rembuk (monthly or yearly plan). Optional AI credit top-ups, and the platform fee on a business sponsorship, are also paid to the company. These are the company's own revenue.
(b) Rembuk Pay
Collected on behalf of the organisation from its members and parents: membership fees, school (PIBG) fees and invoices, donations, and event tickets and tables. The money belongs to the organisation and is paid out to its verified bank account.
The Rembuk Pay flow
- 1Member opens the billA parent or member opens their invoice, the donation page, the event ticket page or the membership sign-up page of their organisation on Rembuk.
- 2Pays at CHIPThey choose an online method, such as FPX online banking or DuitNow QR, and are sent to CHIP's secure checkout. Rembuk never sees bank or card details.
- 3Returns to RembukAfter paying, the payer comes back to Rembuk. Rembuk confirms the payment directly with CHIP before recording anything; the browser redirect alone is never trusted.
- 4ReceiptThe payment is recorded against the invoice, donation or order and an official receipt is issued.
- 5LedgerEach payment gets one line in the organisation's Rembuk Pay ledger: amount paid, gateway fee, platform fee and net amount.
- 6Payout Mon / ThuThe net balance is paid to the organisation's verified bank account every Monday and Thursday, with a statement listing every payment.
Payouts and fees
- Payouts are made every Monday and Thursday (the next working day if that day is a public holiday). Monday's payout covers payments up to the previous Friday 11:59 pm; Thursday's covers payments up to Tuesday 11:59 pm, once CHIP has settled them.
- Each payout is the amount collected net of a 1.5% platform fee and the payment gateway fee for the method the payer used. Both are shown for every payment in the statement.
- The minimum payout is RM20.00 (after fees); a smaller balance is carried to the next payout. The smallest online payment through Rembuk Pay is RM5.00.
- Payouts go only to a bank account in the organisation's own name, checked against a bank statement or bank letter. Accounts in an individual's name are not accepted. After a bank account change, payouts are held for 7 days and all the organisation's leaders are notified.
- Refunds are decided by the organisation and processed through CHIP; the refunded amount is deducted from the next payout.
Alternatives that involve no Rembuk funds handling
An organisation does not have to use Rembuk Pay. It can choose, at any time in its payment settings:
- Direct bank transfer: members pay straight into the organisation's own bank account (or DuitNow QR) and upload the transfer receipt; the treasurer confirms it in Rembuk.
- The organisation's own payment gateway (for example its own CHIP, toyyibPay, Billplz or senangPay account): payments go directly to the organisation, and Rembuk only records them.
With either option Rembuk never holds the money and charges no Rembuk Pay fee. Cash collected in person can also be recorded by the treasurer.
